Planet Clicker starts with Earth and one simple action: pick the planet to create Energy. That action feeds every other system. Energy buys stronger picks, automatic generators, new planets, and spacecraft. Missions and achievements provide extra rewards, while late-game Galaxy Resets convert lifetime progress into Stardust.
Make Your First Picks
Choose the large Earth in the center of the game. Mouse users can click, touchscreen players can tap, and keyboard players can press Space when focus is outside another control. Each successful input creates floating feedback and adds Energy to the HUD. Quick inputs build a combo. Every five combo steps slightly increases the reward, while a short pause resets it.
Critical picks occur randomly and multiply the result. The interface labels these clearly, so you can distinguish a critical reward from a normal combo. Critical chance and power improve through permanent systems and certain planet bonuses.
Choose Upgrades And Generators
Pick upgrades improve direct interaction. Stronger Touch is inexpensive and useful immediately; later tiers such as Energy Finger and Quantum Touch add much larger amounts. Each card states its level, present contribution, next gain, and price. A disabled purchase button means you need more Energy.
Generators produce Energy every second. Solar Panels are the first option, followed by Energy Stations, Satellites, Lunar Generators, Fusion Reactors, and advanced orbital technology. Use the quantity selector to buy one, ten, twenty-five, or the maximum affordable amount. Early play benefits from a mixture: active power helps during focused sessions, while generators keep progress moving between actions.
Complete Missions And Achievements
Open Missions from the lower game navigation. Each card shows a category, exact objective, live progress bar, and reward. Completed missions must be claimed; this gives you control over when the reward enters your economy. Objectives include picking, building, reaching Energy milestones, exploring, and destroying asteroids.
Achievements are awarded automatically when their conditions are met. They range from Bronze to Cosmic and can grant Energy, Stardust, or reward chests. The Statistics panel tracks the activity behind these goals, including total picks, criticals, highest combo, Energy spent, offline gains, and play time.
Unlock And Visit Planets
The Solar System panel shows unlocked and future worlds. Locked cards list every condition: Energy cost, Earth level, generator total, and required mission count. Requirements turn green as you satisfy them. When every one is complete, unlock the world and select it as the active planet.
Worlds add cumulative mechanical advantages. Earth improves Solar Panels. The Moon raises offline production. Mars improves pick output through terraforming, while Venus strengthens critical rewards. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto affect other parts of the economy. Read the complete planet unlock guide to plan the whole route.
Respond To Asteroid Events
After your first stretch of picks, an asteroid can enter the play area. Hit the asteroid before its timer expires and reduce its health to zero. The reward scales with your current power, so events remain relevant later. Golden asteroids are rare and provide much larger Energy rewards plus Stardust.
Use Chests, Ships, And Stardust
Mission and achievement rewards can include chests. Open them from Rewards for Energy and, at higher tiers, Stardust. Ships are permanent purchases within a run; each one has a clearly stated bonus such as production, offline income, critical chance, or asteroid rewards.
Once lifetime Energy reaches the displayed threshold, Galaxy Reset becomes available. It restarts temporary resources but awards Stardust. Each unspent point gives a permanent production bonus, and the Stardust skill tree offers specialized improvements. The confirmation explains exactly what resets and what remains before anything is deleted.
Protect And Customize Your Game
Progress saves automatically in the current browser. Open Settings to save manually, export a backup, or import a valid code. Export before clearing browser data or changing devices. Settings also control sound, ambient music, volume, particles, reactions, reduced motion, and autosave. A full reset requires typing RESET, which prevents accidental deletion.
